The Synapse

I am teaching both sciences and enjoying both as I begin to see the vibrant interchange between the two subjects.
I am also teaching Honors Anatomy and Physiology which is a challenge. I am approaching it with not only didactic but also case studies to engage students in applying the content knowledge.

I have a great site: http://ublib.buffalo.edu/libraries/projects/cases/ubcase.htm

This allows me to incorporate the curriculum and technology into my lessons. A and P come alive for students as it helps them to think about how to apply their knowledge

another interactive site is called EdHead http://www.edheads.org/
I will be back and try to list sites and if you ahve any to share please list it....

I will also provide some of my ideas: I used the idea of the Pirates of the Caribbean in having students use the cellular components to find the missing nucleus. This was a cross curriculum assignment that employed descriptive writing as well as science writing... I got some wonderful work
