Hey Sharon...

I think we'll just have to wait and see. I was asked to fill out a survey on educational uses of Ning... direct from Ning itself. I think we'll know more on May 4. I would be surprised to see Ning ditch their support for education in any wholesale way. However, this never was an 18-under educational site. If you'll notice, the ads have never appeared on this site. However, this was a rather generous and interesting quirk. We actually were featured on the Ning Blog in January of 2009. At that time we were essentially awarded "ad free" premium status because of the potential good of the network toward children. Whether or not that sentiment will continue under the new CEO or not remains to be seen. Once we see the writing on the wall... then we'll see what we want to do. Getting too riled up prior to the details seems a waste of energy.

Perhaps if several of use land comments on this page of the Ning Blog, as a gentle reminder of the value of this network, we'll be able to continue the privileged position we've enjoyed for this time. I suppsose we'll see.

Thanks for posting.
;)
