Just wanted you to know that I've been reading your blog for a while now (compliments of Sean) and have attempted some of your ideas--such as Jing. Oh, and the trailers for class--what a clever use of Animoto!!! I am just not that creative. I hope you don't mind if I borrow that idea.

Anyway, thanks. I look forward to learning more.

As for Jing, I decided to try a "How To" video to start. So, I created a, So how do I comment on a discussion Jing for my Ning! (I just love saying that.) Right now, I'm playing with the sizes of the screencast--you can't just past the embedded code straight into a Ning or it's HUGE. The video also explains some reminders about experimental design for the science fair projects. Although it's on the Ning, I haven't brought it to students attention yet. I'll let you know how it goes. Same goes for the Animoto video!

Thanks for the tips about the blogs. I started one on edublogs just to see what it all about. I am no where near mentioning it to my class. I just started the wiki with them, so one thing at a time. Which blogs use Wordpress? I don't even know what that is, but it sounds important.

I teach in a large diverse public school and so far the administration seems to like me. There is one principle, 4 assistant principles and one sci. director so it's tough to get things off the ground and going sometimes. I'm trying to get a name for myself so hopefully I will be able to do more creative things such as trips. I hear it's nice by D.C. My sister used to live in Arlington (or around there) and she really loved it. Anyway....thanks again for the advice.

Your MLK trailer was amazing! I've created an Animoto account now and am going to try a few things out. Thanks for the inspiration. :)

I have a question about your animoto trailers. Where do you find images (DNA, genetic code, images of Darwin etc...)?

Thanks! Creative commons is wonderful. As to your question about the wildlife rehabilitation, I usually take care of the baby squirrels and turtles. It's so hard not to get attached!

Hi Stacy,
I found your amazing blog & wiki about a month ago and have been spending hours on them learning away!
I have a few questions for you and wondered if we could chat via email?
Thanks,
Cara

Great job with the trailers. I am experimenting with animoto.
