Teacher Evaluations

Just curious about what different schools do for teacher evaluations:1. What critia is used for your evaluations?2. Do you like how you are evaluated?3. Do you find them an effective means to keep highly qualifed teachers and a good tool for eliminating poor teachers?4. Looking for partnerships from landlocked Colorado

I just got the go ahead to teach a marine biology class at my high school. I am thrilled to do this but as I look at various syllabi, all have field experiences for their students. We are in Monument Colorado and I was wondering if there were educators along the coast who would be interested in doing some partnerships with my students for collecting information and data on their fieldtrips.
