Teacher Evaluations

Just curious about what different schools do for teacher evaluations:1.  What critia is used for your evaluations?2.  Do you like how you are evaluated?3.  Do you find them an effective means to keep highly qualifed teachers and a good tool for eliminating poor teachers?4.  Are student test results factored in?Any thoughts on the topic of what makes teachers effective would be great...please mention what state your are in...not mentally but physically.  Thanks, Diane See More

Looking for partnerships from landlocked Colorado

I just got the go ahead to teach a marine biology class at my high school.  I am thrilled to do this but as I look at various syllabi, all have field experiences for their students.  We are in Monument Colorado and I was wondering if there were educators along the coast who would be interested in doing some partnerships with my students for collecting information and data on their fieldtrips.  Let me know...would love to do this.  The class starts next fall and it is a one semester class.DianeSee More
