The Synapse

I have been teaching A and P for 17 years. There are few resources available for A and P at this level. It is easy to find material and ideas for middle school or college level. I would like to share ideas and resources with other teachers who teach this course.

I completely agree. I have taught A and P for about as long and would love to share ideas with others. Any ideas of the best way to do this? Some type of blog? I am not sure?
I am not really sure-I do not know how much traffic this site gets. I am eager to hear ideas as I am not web savvy in the blog department.

Hi,
This is my 4th year teaching and my 1st year teaching Anatomy and Physiology. Although the past 3 years I was teaching a general Human Anatomy course, so it is not a completely new topic for me.
Anything I can help you with?
Think I'm doing alright at the moment as far as course content goes. I'm taking a lot of the material that I was using with my general anatomy students in previous years and just adding material to it to bring in more physiology. Maybe could use some more hands-on, in-expensive activity ideas. Both classes are 11th and 12th grade classes and use the same district course concept outlines, though the Anat/Phys is honors and the students who take it have the option of taking a test after completeing the course to recieve college credit for it.
I came across this site as part of the master's degree I am currently working on. It is a master's in education with a specialization in integrating technology in the classroom. Currenly in my current course we are learning how to blog and incorporate blogging into the classroom.
Along these lines with Anat/Phys I am looking for ideas as to how I might use blogs with my students to perhaps better explore medical applications for the material they are learning.
Are you in the US?
Yes, I'm in West Virginia.
